SLJ Activity 6

 

This is my food collage. I went around asking my family what they like to eat at summer and this is what we came up with. I also asked them why they like eat that and told me this: "Because there is no  right time to eat that unless it is summer otherwise it seem wrong." and I totally agree with some like the ice cream and some others. The hardest part about it was getting my brother to tell me because he had no idea and finding the right photos was quite hard as well but I think this is a good reposent of what we eat over summer.

This is my coding, I enjoyed this activity very much because I love solving this and figuring stuff out. I found it really hard to make my own for others to figure out because you don't want to give to much away but then you don't want to give to least so I found it hard to do that with making it make sense as well.

 I made a beach scene out of random stuff I found in my backyard I don't think it really looks like good but I tried.

 This is my Ladybug that I made using stuff I had I my backyard. I used leafs for the body, sticks for the legs and a pebble for the head my little sister did one as well she made spider and helped me find the stuff for my ladybug as well I appreciated her help. It was all so because she was board and it was my turn to entertain her.

Rubbings

In room 2 we have been experimenting with rubbings  and how they work so far we have made two rubbings one when we have rub leafs and then draw a kiwi on it and the other one we made the template by ourselves with cardboard and glue then we taped paper on it and rub it with crayon.

This is my plot book we had to explain where the element of plot are and we had to draw what is happening and then write about it on the white peace we also had to make a front cover and a back we got to pick the book we wanted to do it on I did mine on the babysitter club.

This is my pick a path if you don't know what a pick a path is let me tell you. It is when someone writes a story with lots of ending and you get to pick what way you are going to go. Have a go at mine hope you like it.

 In Room Two we are learning to write interesting comment to put it on a comment our self to practice on Film Festival entries to work on. We watch three movies of our choose and the we had to write a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment. We practised making quality blog comments on different school blogs.

We made a DLO which had comments about different aspects of the films that we watched. You can read those comments on the slide that is embedded below.

I found this activity really hard because I had to think about the comment that I was going to say hard.

Lost In The Jungle

Lost In The Jungle

One Saturday John had a sleepover with his 3 friends. ( Olivia Jeremy and Sophie) There were 4 of them including John.
They decided to go to the darkest jungle there was and that jungle was called THE MURDER JUNGLE and they also decided to wake up at 3 am to see i
f there are ghosts there. When they got there they all decided to go
off in a different direction to try and find something to eat and some water. When someone found some water or
food they met back where they left off and everyone should be there.Then they went off to try and find shelter.
By the time they got halfway, Sophie went missing and no one knew she did until... Someone or something is
taking them away one by one.

John, Olivia and Jeremy carried on walking.
Then they heard something in the distance and someone was screaming out for help. They looked back because
they heard a noise and then saw that Jeremy was being taken away but it was too late he was already gone.
John and Olivia started to freak out and scream but there was no way they could lose each other now. They stayed
together for the rest of the walk, Olivia stopped to tie her shoelace and John carried on walking because he
thought he saw something. Next minute John heard Olivia's voice shouting out help and something else saying
shhh John knew he was next. 

Finally, he found a spot to stay the night but he didn’t have a tent so he built his own out of sticks and leaves,
he did not have any food at all (because he carried the clothes for everyone). He went out with a stick to try to kill a
pig or deer for dinner. When he got back he didn’t have  any food for dinner so that night he ate yellow and brown
crunchy stale leaves for dinner. The best thing he thought about that night was he didn’t have to make a fire.
He was happy and sad at the same time. After he ate what he called dinner he went to bed and it rained cats and dogs plus it was a thunderstorm that same night so when he woke up in the morning he was soaked and so was all his stuff. 

In the morning he went out to explore, and the next thing he knew was he being taken away so he started to scream. He didn’t see what the person or thing was wearing but John thought it was wearing all black. It covered John's mouth and so he couldn’t talk and yell out for help but even if he did yell out for help no one would hear anyways, then when he got to the destination it turned to be a shed. It looked familiar to him because it was his shed at his house. He looked around and saw all of the friends  and they all gave each other a hug and started to cry. It turned out to be John's dad and he was just really worried about them staying the night in the forest because it is called murder forest.

In conclusion, you should not go by yourself because you don’t know what is in the jungle and you don’t want to be killed. Parents don’t let your kids do whatever they want to do. It was not a monster anyway, it was just a dad caring about his kid and didn’t want anyone to get hurt even if it was not his own kid.

Hot air balloon went wrong

(Orientation)

On landing, it would be very hard as she is up in the mid-air, 
she closed her eyes so tight she could not see a thing and imagined being on the ground and
what it would be like.For once the hot air balloon ran out of gas  she would have no choice but to go
down so fast. It started, it felt like her face went inside her body.
Alice couldn't help herself but scream out for help.
Eventually, she landed on a little island with one coconut tree and on that
one coconut tree there are only three coconuts. She kept on yelling help ,help, help
but no one could hear her as she is so far away.Alice stayed there for the night in the freezing cold
and said this is the worst birthday present ever and she felt like an ice block that was left in the freezer
for 2 years.

Alice woke up in the morning and she was just about to say good morning to her parents but
they were not there.Alice nearly cried so hard so she could have had some water to drink,
but she didn’t and she talked to herself like if her parents were there.
“How was your sleep last night” ?asks Alice  (acting like her mum)
“Good thank you, Mum, how was you sleep? Did you sleep well in the freezing cold?”
said Alice. “Yes I did thank you for asking but it was quite cold last night wasn’t it?”
says Alice (acting like her mum). She carried on like that and she even added her dad in it at some points.
Alice was definitely missing her family back at home which made her really sad she couldn’t see them.
Night time came along and she has a coconut for tea then she went to bed and froze her butt off again.

The next day when she woke up there was a boat, waiting for her on that boat her parents were waiting.
When she hopped on, Alice gave them a big hug and said:
“I am so glad to see you, I have missed you both so much”.
Then off they went the waves were so rough they had to stop and stay the night where they were.
The next morning they headed off again but the weather was terrible but they got through it and went
to another island a little bit closer to land. They stayed there for a bit and then left.
Eventually, they made it home. They were so glad to be home.
The first thing Alice went and did was go to her bed. (Resolution)

In conclusion, Alice decided she was never ever going on a hot air balloon again. 

She said “It was the scariest time in my life.”

As for her parents, they said “ we were worried about her and it was even worse when we
found out where she was”.

 Everyone agreed they are not going on a hot air balloon again.

Lock-down

Lock-down well it has been a adventure for me it is the first time I was not allowed to go to
school by the law and it made me a little bit sad but I was excited for a bit as well because
that meant I could do my work in bed and I didn’t have to get up but then I realised I had too
stay home and I couldn’t go and see my friends or go and hangout with them at all what made
me sad we had a night before lock-down and when we said bye to each other we all cried even
the parents cried.

Lock-down was not fun at all but I had fun with my family and it was good to spend ,
time with them and all the rest of it. I did have my ups and downs but we all do.
I cried every now again but I tried not to.
Too me the whole lock-down thing was like a roll a coaster i mean by that is that there,
was same good times and some bad times but after a while it just felt like life and we were just
going to live our lives like this forever but then it change just a little bit we got to go and see some close
family what I loved.

How lock-down made me do it kinda made me sad and happy sad because I can't go
and see my friends and happy because we get to stay home and do nothing apart from
school work what to me is not too bad but it is a different story to my siblings if you ask
them while we are on the topic of siblings and how they made me feel well they made me
laugh and they also made me sad at times but siblings will do that to you even when you
aren’t in lock-down but at the end of the day I love them no matter what so I am not annoyed
with them until they really do annoy me and then we get mad at each other and we don’t know
what will happen next.

What we did in guarantee first we went to the beach and I don’t think we have been to the beach
so many times in our life we also painted rocks and do we did a lot of arts and crafts and while we
were in lock-down we had to find a way to move and we moved all of our stuff to my Uncle house
and we are now in my nana's house we are loving it here because we get good cooked meals and
get a lot of bake goods what I love. 

In conclusion lock-down was not that bad at all the only thing i did not like about lock-down was
not been able to go and see others or going into stores to be honest with you I miss going into
the supermarket and going into the car that was my story with lock-down I personally didn’t think
it was bad but that was just me and I know that everyone is different.
